Discursive strategies of violence act coverage in modern British press

The article discusses discourse peculiarities of modern British newspapers in connection with the coverage of the act of violence, related to the death of the Libyan Leader Muammar Qaddafi. A wide range of discoursive strategies used to achieve the desired effect is revealed by the author. This article was the first to give the author,s reasoned perspective on the significant differences in the discursive strategies of the coverage of the act of violence by two modern British newspapers.
