Remote banking service: modern realities and conditions of development

New information transfer technologies create an opportunity to transform the ways of interaction of the subjects involved in this process. In response to the dynamic way of modern life and professional activity, time savings come to the fore, which actualized the conduct of banking operations in a remote format. Advantages and new opportunities for customers and banks themselves have led to the demand for remote services, which has been steadily growing for a number of years. The introduction of the digital ruble into monetary circulation will be a prerequisite for its strengthening. In these conditions, in order to maintain a market position in the market, commercial banks need to create their own concept of remote service development based on their competitive advantages and include this direction in the planned development. Monitoring of the evaluation of its effectiveness can be carried out according to the proposed author’s methodology. As indicators and criteria for evaluating the implementation of remote services, the bank can choose those that are embedded in the bank’s development strategy and the fulfillment of its mission in the banking services market. The new direction of banking activity in the remote format requires the creation of conditions that contribute to its development. The Bank of Russia, as a mega-regulator of the financial market, in accordance with the federal law on it, has as its objectives those related to the development of the financial market and ensuring its stable functioning. The study of its activities in 2021 shows the multifaceted provision of social and economic conditions for the development of remote banking services. In the future, as a result of the work of commercial banks and the mega-regulator, the Russian banking system can be transformed in a direction where a significant number of banks will have an office-free structure and provide virtual services.
