The purpose of the presented article is to analyze the influence of the new socio-technological culture on the education system, as well as to substantiate the choice of guidelines for the distance education system in the framework of the vocational education process. The material for the study was the works of famous scientists and specialists studying issues of education, professional pedagogy, and psychology. The authors, taking the position of the Belgorod scientific school in the classification of educational directions, present the experience of organizing distance education in VEO. The authors, after have analyzed the work, point to the effectiveness of the distance education system in Chelyabinsk State Industrial and Humanitarian College named after A. V. Yakovlev, which allows students not only to show their best qualities, but also to satisfy the needs for personal self-development.
