Distant myocardial infarction: definition of terms, diagnostics and endovascular reconalization of coronary arteries

Retrospectively reviewed the clinical outcome of patients undergoingemergency endovascular intervention for acute coronary syndrome, accompanied anterior/ anterior-septal myocardial ischemia with ST elevation. During coronarography there wasrevealed chronic occlusion of the LAD in combination with critical stenosis of the RCA.Depending on the tactics (attempt of recanalization of chronic occlusion of the LAD versusangioplasty / stenting RCA) dynamics of myocardial infarction varied considerably. Therewas formulated the concept of "distant” myocardial infarction and offered a rational tacticsof endovascular intervention.
