Long-term liquid oxygen storage in the tank of the integrated propulsion system of Buran orbiter

Бесплатный доступ

The paper presents the results of RSC Energia studies aimed at assuring long-term (up to 30 days) storage of liquid oxygen in the oxidizer tank of the BURAN Orbiter Integrated Propulsion System using passive and active means of temperature control. The results of the studies were used in the design of hardware for storing cryogenic propellant components during Mir-2 project development. The passive thermal control equipment is used in the new RSC Energia products under development.
