"...For mutual communication and broad information...": from the history of the journal "Scientific news Far East" (1928-1930)

The article considers the history of the journal «Scientific News of the Far East» - the first regional scientific and information publication published in 1928-1930 in Vladivostok by the Far Eastern Regional Research Institute (DVKNII). The prerequisites for its creation are analyzed, the structure, sections, content of the published 11 issues, the subject of publications are presented. The question of the reasons for the termination of its publication is considered, the role of the journal for the scientific communication of scientists of the region and the coverage of the scientific life of the Far Eastern Region is assessed.
