The article is devoted to the Polish revolutionary Yu. Hordynski, who was the first of the participants in the 1830-1831 uprising in the Polish Kingdom to emigrate to the American soil. The author describes a short stay of the Pole in Boston, his personal contact experience with Americans, as well as the attitude of the American Society to him and the Polish fighting for the independence of their homeland. The author is seeking the answer to the question: Why was the Pole unhappy on the American soil?
