In this article we give the results of the research that concern biologically valuable forest, which was carried out along with the Forest Certification procedures. The methods and scheme of the studies are given. We also provide a brief characterization of forest communities of the Eastern part of Leningrad Region, which display high levels of biological diversity and meet the criteria of Biologically Valuable Forests.
