Probative basis for ethnic justice among Mordva people

Foundations for probative basis of traditional ethnic justice of the Mordva people are described in the article. Wide-spread ways for determining the truth on a point at issue are analysed. Application of property signs characteristic for Finno-Ugric peoples is under research. On the base of archival, field, monographic materials the author presents the system of evidences used through millenniums up to the beginning of the XX century.
