The activity of underground organizations in the occupied territory of the Leningrad Region is one of the problematic topics in the history of the Great Patriotic War. Despite the fact that it began to be studied during the siege of Leningrad, today there are issues that have not received proper coverage. Among them, the work of underground workers in the first period of the war stands out. P.R. Sheverdalkin in the 40-70s of the last century was engaged in this problem and wrote many works on the Resistance movement in this region. However, not all of his materials were introduced into scientific circulation. In this article, the author for the first time publishes the text of his lecture about underground organizations and underground workers who operated during the first period of the Great Patriotic War in the Leningrad region.
