Documentation of research and design institutes as the historical source on history of the electrification in the USSR (1920-1930's)

The article is devoted to the information potential of documents of research and design institutes for the historical studies on the electrification in the USSR. On the basis of the complex analysis of the office, scientific, technical documentation of institutes the author proves its representativeness as the important historical source. This kind of sources allows us to reconstruct a process of creation of scientific and technical base for electrification during the implementation of the plan of GOELRO (1921-1931) and the first three five-year periods.
