The documents of state archives in the research of Siberian exile (the 2nd half of 19th century - February, 1917)

The article is devoted to the analysis of the archival documents, which contain important information about the history of exile to Siberia. Nowadays the researchers are reopening pre-revolutionary funds of country’s archives. In comparison with the research of exclusively political exile and servitude during the Soviet period, modern researchers can study all types of the exiles without any ideological context. The author mentions that during the Soviet period appeared many archival materials. However, any source-study analysis of numerous types of sources in the office work has not been conducted. The article also deals with the examining of information level, diversity, hard structure of the funds in the central and local archives, aiming to the exile research.
