Building material protection of long duration by the coatings on basis of nanosized sulfur

The article deals with the data on researches of efficiency of porous building materials hydrophobization (cement concretes, lime-sand brick, autoclave foamed concrete) by the new type of soaking composition «AKVASTAT», that is water sulfurcontaining solution stabilized by special additives. Compositions high penetrating characteristic and the size of soaking mixture molecule (less then 0,5 nm) under the soaking provide the filling of the pores which radius is from 1 to 104 nm. The soaking of materials is realized by submerging of the products in «AKVASTAT» for 0,5-6 hours or by the brush repeated surface application. The depth of mixture penetration into the structure is 15-40 mm. As the result of the soaking, hydrophobic coating appears on the surface of the pores. This coating consists of nanosized sulfur particles and has high adhesion to any inorganic surfaces. Mixture isnt washed off by the water, it has bactericidal characteristics.
