In this article, the author considers the question of the location of Christian worship during the missionary journeys of Apostle Paul and the various difficulties that were encountered in organizing worship space. Citing historical context, archaeological evidence, and the cultural traditions of the Roman Empire, the author atempts to explain the reasons behind the disciplinary problems described in 1 Cor 11:17-34. He concludes that disciplinary problems in the early Church arose logically from the customs and traditions of the Roman nobility
