The prevailing functions of the social state: some aspects of academic discussion

The article is devoted to the analysis of the social states functional system. Approaches to definition of the social states functions, concepts «social functions of the state» and «function of the social state» are considered. The problem of the parity of economic and social functions of the social state is analyzed. The authors concept of the prevailing functions of a social state is offered.
