Biodiversity analysis of Late Ordovician and Early Silurian biota from the Northern Ural region revealed five stages in its development. Among brachiopods, the order Pentamerida was the most abundant and it dominating in the Late Ordovician faunas. In Llandovery brachiopods, stromatoporoidea and tabulate corals became the most common in benthic faunas. A relative stability in the taxonomic diversity of conodonts is based on long-ranging genera.
