The author considers dynamics of road construction in three categories of roads: paved roads, improved (profiled) roads and dirt ones. The article shows the attitude of local authorities to the construction and maintenance of roads, and discloses their measures to improve the quality of roads. The author explains the existence of difficulties in the road building, although the created collective farms took an active part in improving the roads of the grass-roots network.
