Road asphalt-polymer-seroconcretes structured by chrysotile-asbestos fibers

The optimum combination of the mineral backbone of asphalt concrete micro-reinforced with chrysotile-asbestos (II structural type of macrostructure) and complex-modified microstructure of asphalt-binder has been theoretically and experimentally established. The composition of complex-modified asphalt polymer concrete microreinforced with chrysotile-asbestos fiber has been developed, which contains petroleum road bitumen of BND 40/60 grade microreinforced with butadiene-methylstyrene thermoplastic elastomer SCMS-30 (2 wt%), technical sulfur (S=25-30 wt%), mechanically activated 0,5 wt% of SCMS-30 mineral powder and mineral powder and asphalt binder. SCMS-30 mineral powder and chrysotile asbestos fibers 1% wt. wt. in composition with mineral backbone with crushed stone concentration 45-55% wt. wt, with minimum intergranular voids, not >16%. Asphalt polymer concrete mixtures with complexly modified microstructure, microreinforced with chrysotile-asbestos, are characterized by increased workability and compactibility in a wide range of temperatures (53-140°C). They are characterized by increased deformation and strength characteristics, for example, they have increased rigidity, which is 12 times higher than that of traditional asphalt concrete. For the State Unitary Enterprise of the Ministry of Transport of the DNR "AVTODOR" "Recommendations on production and application of asphalt-polymer-seroconcrete mixtures reinforced with chrysotile-asbestos fibers for the arrangement of layers of non-rigid road pavements" were developed.
