Dorzhu Bazyrovich Buzur-ool - first director of technical university in Tuva

Training engineering and technical personnel is of great importance, without their help no industry can successfully develop. In this regard, there is a need to study the positive experience of their training, which can be useful today. No less important is the generalization of this experience at the regional level using the example of the Kyzyl branch of the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute. The paper was prepared for the 50th anniversary of the institute and the 90th anniversary of the birth of its first director - Buzur-ool Dorzhu Bazyrovich. His name is associated with an entire era in the development of the technical university, which he headed from the day of its foundation in 1974. However, the study of the biography of the scientist cannot be reduced to just a sketch of the personality under study; an analysis of specific historical conditions, life circumstances, and their changes is necessary. Based on the study of materials from the National Archives of the Republic of Tuva and the archives of the Tuva State University, the republic's need for engineering and technical personnel is revealed, and a chronology of events related to the activities of the republic's party and state bodies, and personally D.B. Buzur-ool, on the opening and development of the Kyzyl branch of the Polytechnic Institute is presented. Dorzhu Bazyrovich's reflections on the role and place of the university in the development of Tuva, in its fate, are very valuable. At the same time, the memories of his relatives - his wife, younger brother and sisters - allowed us to learn about him as a person, husband, father and older brother in a large family with nine children. Thanks to the efforts of the first director D.B. Buzur-ool, the Kyzyl branch took place and became a forge of engineering personnel.
