Achievements of Soviet science in the study of intra-atomic energy: periodization of work on the implementation of the nuclear project in the USSR

The article is devoted to the analysis of the contribution of domestic science in the study of intra-atomic energy and the denial of the allegations about the decisive role of information obtained by Soviet intelligence from foreign sources when creating a domestic atomic weapon. As a result of the study, it was proved that Soviet scientists, in parallel with foreign researchers, actively studied the possibilities of intraatomic energy, independently made scientifically grounded discoveries, but could not implement them in industrial production for the reasons described in the article. In addition, the periodization of scientific studies of intra-atomic energy in the Soviet Union, identified by Russian historians, was analyzed. In addition to this periodization, another one was added and justified - a preliminary stage preceding the start of work on the implementation of the Soviet atomic project.
