The assessment of rare and threatened arboreal species cultivated at arboretum of Forest-Technical Academy (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) has shown that 25 species of the Red Data of Russia (2008) (including 4 species of its “Supplement...”), 9 species of the Red Data Book of former USSR (1978, 1984) and 3 species of Red Data Book of Leningrad region (2000) are represented in modern collection. Totally more than 90 threatened species of Russian arboreal flora have been tested and cultivated here during the history of introduction since 1833. They develop different levels of adaptation, some are sensitive to frosts and not hardy, perishing in abnormally severe winters. The annotated list of Red Data Book species of modern collection and the list of tested threatened species are given, with comments and explanations.
