Spiritual and Moral Education of Students in the Process of Teaching a Foreign Language in High School Educational Institutions

The article examines the role of spiritual and moral education of students in the process of teaching a foreign language in high school. Special attention is paid to the use of authentic texts, media materials and speech tasks as a means of forming moral guidelines. Specific examples in English are given that contribute to students' understanding of universal moral values. The potential of topics affecting friendship, responsibility, compassion, social justice and cultural identity is analyzed. The conclusion is made about the high efficiency of the integration of the educational component in teaching a foreign language at the senior level of education.
