Spirituality and morality as the foundation of Russians' patriotism

The article discusses the influence of spirituality and morality on the formation of patriotism of citizens. It reveals the state of patriotic and military-patriotic education of the population. The article focuses on the problems in the activities of the state and society in preparing citizens for the defense of the Motherland. The author formulates the main directions of the state policy of the Russian Federation on patriotic and military-patriotic education of the population in the context of the development of spiritual and moral qualities of the individual drawing extensively on the experience of Russia's Special Military Operation in Ukraine.
