Fragrant ink "Brocard&Co": production technology (1896)

This article describes the method of making fragrant ink from the Association Brocard & Co. Henry Afanasievich Brocard created unusual products: soap sets in the shape of tangerines; alphabet soap, а fragrant fountain and fragrant ink. His entrepreneurial and perfumery talent allowed Brocard to build one of the largest perfumery and cosmetic empires in Russia in the late 19th-early 20th century. XIXth-beginning of the XXth century. Brocar and Co. goods were in demand one hundred years ago. Knowledge of production technologies can give forgotten products a "second life" and they may well be competitive in the XXI century. The scientific novelty is also determined by the fact that the article for the first time introduces unpublished sources from the Russian State Historical Archive.
