Two generations of traditional culture scholars in the university: dialogue and intertextuality

The article shows the potential of folk studies in the 20th century and interrelations between two generations of scholars of traditional culture. To develop the ideas expressed by A. A. Korinfsky and R. R. Gelgardt we discuss several projects. The first project deals with organizing folklore and ethnography conferences for students. The emphasis is laid upon listener’s reflexivity upon traditional culture, its forms and genres. The article highlights the tradition transfer of ethnic cultural values and ethnic lore. The second projects deals with peasant’s writers language and texts.
