Two new finds of bone stamp seals from the Bolgar fortified settlement datedwithin the end of13th - early 15th centuries are introduced into scientific discourse. The findsare shaped as chess figures with a rectangular (Fig. 1) or a round (Fig. 2) base. The natureof the images on the side edges of the seal with a rectangular base makes it possibleto correlate it with Golden Horde materials which absorbed both Far Eastern and NearEastern traditions. The seal shaped as a chess figure with a round base is stylisticallysimilar to seals from Medieval Russia of the 12th-15th centuries; the only exception isthe fact that the Bolgar bone stamp seals do not bear the name of their owner carvedon them until the 15th century. It is suggested that the bone stamp seals were producedright at the Bolgar settlement in the Golden Horde period.
