According to the geological and petrogeochemical data, two series of primary magmatic rocks formed in different geodynamic settings were distinguished in the Marun-keu eclogite-gneiss complex for the first time. One of them is metavolcanogenic consisting of banded eclogites, amphibolites, and plagiogneiss; the other - metaplutonic, composed of massive apogabbroic eclogites and metaperidotites. Metavolcanics show traces of their formation in island arc conditions. Metamorphosed plutonic rocks of the mafic-ultramafic composition make up an independent metaintrusive complex. Geochemical data indicate the formation of these rocks in suprasubduction environments, possibly with the contamination of continental material (higher contents of Ba, Sr, and Rb).
