Open rotor engine in the light of more stringent requirements on aviaekology

Бесплатный доступ

Analysis of the acoustic characteristics of the open rotor engine shows that the engine noise in the spectrum in addition to the traditional components of the noise added tonal noise peaks at combination frequencies in the low frequency part of the spectrum. This makes it very difficult to reduce aircraft noise with such engines on the ground.
