Duality in narrative structure of "The chronicles of Narnia" by C.S.Lewis

The article is devoted to the interaction of fantastic and mimetic worlds in the narrative structure of "The Chronicles of Narnia" by Clive Staples Lewis. The fantasy genre, which "The Chronicles of Narnia" is written in, allows C.S.Lewis presenting his philosophical and moral message in an allegorical form. The fantastic world is given in contrast with the real one in various aspects. As it is shown in the article, the fantastic world is subdivided into lots of other worlds coexisting out of the Earth, appearing and dying independently, and which are given in contrast with higher reality and eternity. The fantastic world is not considered to be ideal but the experienced by the characters difficulties become "moral examination" for them.
