Nobility deputy assembly in the Northern Caucasus in the 19th century

Basing on the archival sources the article reviews the activities of the Nobility Deputy Assembly in the Northern Caucasus in the 19 th century. It is noted, that in the conditions of the Caucasian war the selfgovernment traditions of the noble were introduced very poorly. The author considers the meeting of the noble with the emperor Alexander III in 1888 at the Mineralnye Vody station, and aspiration of the marshal of the nobility P.A. Machkanin for energizing of the nobility assembly activities.
