Nobility and clergy of autocratic Russia in the 19th - early 20th centuries: aspects of the mutual influence

The article discusses aspects of mutual influence of two estates of the pre-revolutionary Russia: the nobility and the clergy. The author analyzes the possibility of reinforcement of the clergy with the representatives of the aristocracy in the 19 th - early 201 th centuries. The author considers such specific examples as biographies of famous church and public figures that came from the noble circles, as: Prelate Ignatiy Brianchaninov, St. Ioann Kronstadtsky, Lev Tikhomirov.
