This article examines the views of the Russian religious philosopher S. L. Frank on general problems in philosophical and religious knowledge. Analysis of the main works of the Russian philosopher “The Subject of Knowledge”, “The Incomprehensible”, “Reality and Man”, as well as his articles published at different stages of the philosopher’s work encouraged the attempt to find a common problem field for philosophy, religion and mysticism that draw on connections with the ideas of Plato, Neoplatonists, Nicholas of Cusa, and German mystics. The focus is placed on some characteristic ideas of the general mystical worldview identified by Frank. Pointed out is the philosopher’s attitude to religion as a mystical feeling, or a mystical experience that does not need any abstract knowledge. Also indicated is Frank’s understanding of the possibility of philosophical cognition of the incomprehensible, relying on the method of antinomystic monodualism and referring to wise ignorance, when the true philosophy relies on the living inner experience that is similar to mystical experience.
