The article deals with various embodiments, peculiarities of vocal behaviour and nomination of one of the hypostasis of demons, able to possess a person (when diabolized by a sorcerer), represented in the texts of the mythological stories of Perm Krai. Their most frequent names are 'tchert' (devil) and 'bes' (demon) and their derivatives. The following nominations in Perm dialects name both the disease, induced by the sorcerer and the name of the demon, possessing a person: portcha (evil curse), ikota/ikotka (hiccup) and khitka.
