Esseysky Yakuts in the beginning of the XXI-st century: the problem of ethnic identification

In this work, on the bases of field studies carried out by he author, the questions of ethnic identity of the Esseysky Yakuts are discussed. The results of the research can serve as the basis for solving the problem of providing the Esseysky Yakuts the status of indigenous minorities of the North, Siberia and the Far East. This question is quite topical and is being discussed now at the Krasnoyarsk Region Administration.
