Europeanization as a normative political context of Turkish modernization

The influence of the Europeanization on the political processes of modernization in Turkey in the 20 th - 21st centuries is studied. The main directions of inner political transformations, i.e. republicanism, etatism, laicism and nationalism, are analyzed. The inner and foreign policy factors hindering the accession of Turkey to the EU are considered. The estimation of the Europeanization by both foreign and Russian researchers is presented.
