The factor of public safety of the citizens as the basis for creating a positive image of the police officer

The study discusses the current issues of creating a positive image of the officials of internal affairs agencies of the Russian Federation in the exercise of their professional duties. The research examines the ability of police officers to ensure public safety and public order that are necessary for a stable existence and development of modern society. The author focuses on the factor of public safety of the citizens as a compulsory element for creating a positive image of the department officer. The paper highlights the certain areas of focus that are responsible for ensuring the safety of citizens and public order, reducing crimes in public places. In this context, the research provides the results of sociological studies describing the attitude of the population to modern police activities.
