Factors of formation and methods of measuring social discontinuation in Russian studies

Based on a review of Russian studies, the article presents the conceptual aspects of the analysis of social discontent, which is a necessary condition for mass political action. The author pays special attention to the causes of the emergence and spread of discontent in society. An important subject of research is the influence of social networks on the formation of mass discontent and the involvement of citizens in protest activity. Measurements of social dissatisfaction note the use of proven sociological methods and new cybermetric capabilities, which together can constitute strong hybrid research methods.
