Factors of interethnic interaction in the Far East of Russia

The article presents an analysis of existing approaches to studying of the factors that determine the level of interethnic interaction between the local population and migrants. The author has defined the main factors of the local population and migrants' interaction in the Russian Far East. Taking into account a combination of the factors that determine a social development of the Russian Far East (geographical, functional, social, psychological, economic), the author proposes that the territory should be considered as the region of deferred functional contact.
