The factors of political regulation of ethnic processes: problems of theory and methodology

The political power of modern society is faced with the most difficult contradiction in the field of interethnic relations. It is born in opposition to two tendencies expressed in the processes of reproduction of nationalism, on the one hand, and the growth of globalization, on the other. The clash of identified trends is seen at the international level and within multinational states. Under these conditions, the subject of political power naturally faces the task of regulating processes in the living space of ethnic groups. With particular urgency, such a requirement is presented to the state power of modern Russia, which is a complex multi-ethnic community. The political practice of resolving problem ethnic situations actualizes the formation of theoretical and methodological grounds for the regulation of ethnic processes.
