The article examines the goals and objectives of the banking sector in the medium term. The need to create legal conditions for the functioning of credit institutions in accordance with international standards is underlined. Also, it is necessary to supplement the legislation in the banking sector with norms of direct action. Factors of development of the banking sector are shown.
