Factors of becoming a serial killer

The article deals with the factors of becoming a serial killer. To begin with, the statistics of serial crime in 2001-2020 are presented. The legislative consolidation of the concepts of "serial killer" and "serial murders" is discussed, as well as approaches to determining the number of crimes that can already be called a series. The factors include a traumatic situation, brain damage due to injuries, problems of the mother during pregnancy, genetic predisposition, and we are also talking about the "McDonald triad".
