Factors, actors, and mechanisms of youth’s regional identity development in views of school and university students of the Krasnodar territory

The purpose of this study is to review the results of the empirical research on identifying the students’ views on the factors, actors, mechanisms, and technologies of developing the regional identity of young people of the Krasnodar Territory in the cultural and educational environment of the region. The findings of the focus group study show that the youth’s regional identity development is a very important process, school and university students realize the significance of traditional actors, as well as the role of new actors in the development of the regional youth identity, the young people are ready to offer more efficient technologies in this field. The data obtained allow one to conclude that young people evaluate the actors’ activity in the regional identity development as an effective one. At the same time, they are aware of the current problems and represent the prospects for improving the ongoing activity in the Krasnodar Territory.
