Factors influencing the intensity of migration processes in Russia

The article examines the factors that affect the intensity of population migration in modern Russia. The information base for the study was a large array of statistical indicators processed by the author. The basis was the official statistical indicators of Rosstat for 2018 on 87 administrative and territorial divisions of the Russian Federation. Sixty-three indicators of migration were studied, of which 41 were calculated by the author. 565 factor indicators were involved, of which 163 were calculated by the author. The total array of indicators included in the analytical development was 54636. All migration indicators were studied by the author for different migration flows: all movements; internal migration; international movements; movements within the country's regions. Based on the author's analysis, all migration indicators were grouped according to the principle of the influence of the same reasons on them. This article explores factors that influence the intensity of migration: the coefficients of migration intensity on arrival and departure; the intensity of migration turnover; the share of migrants who arrived and left for different territorial movements. The study used methods of correlation-regression analysis. The study identified the factors that have the greatest impact on the migration rates studied. Some of the materials are presented in three analytical tables. The results of the study have drawn conclusions. It is determined which sectors and spheres of the economy are connected with the intensity of migration processes in modern Russia. It has been found out what attracts migrants, how the housing problem is solved, and health care is developing at their arrival sites.It is characterized by what is connected with movements within the regions of the country. It has been revealed what is holding back the departure of migrants and what contributes to this process.
