Available data of migrants' mental problems are considered in the review. Stages of migration process are presented and factors increasing people's predisposition to mental disorders are analyzed here. The article gives detailed description of risk factors causing the development of PTSD symptoms (post-traumatic stress disorder), depressive symptomatology and psychosomatic disorders of migrants. Gender aspects of migration are analyzed and the causes of female adaptation difficulties are shown. The authors of the article give particular attention to such an aspect of the present day as xenophobia and its effect on the development of migrants' mental disorders. Psychological and psychiatric help is discussed as having not enough psychiatric care to migrants all over the world
