Factors influencing the development of allergic reactions in pets and methods of control

Бесплатный доступ

This study examines the factors influencing the development of allergic reactions in domestic animals, focusing on genetic, environmental, and dietary causes. Allergic conditions, such as atopic dermatitis and food allergies, have a complex nature and are most commonly observed in certain breeds of dogs and cats. The analysis highlights the significant role of heredity in the predisposition to allergic diseases, supported by genomic studies. Methods for managing allergies, including allergen avoidance, allergen-specific immunotherapy, and modern pharmacological treatments, such as Janus kinase-1 inhibitors and monoclonal antibodies targeting interleukin-31, are also reviewed. These treatments have demonstrated high efficacy with minimal side effects.
