Pharmacoepidemiology of diuretic drugs on the example of local pharmaceutical market

Arterial hypertension (AH) is one of the most significant medical and social problems in our time. The current clinical guidelines update approaches to the pharmacotherapy of hypertension in order to increase the effectiveness and safety of treatment. Current European guidelines, released in 2018, recommend preferring the use of thiazide-like, but not thiazide diuretics in the treatment of hypertension. The study assessed the pharmacoepidemiology of diuretics on the example of the local pharmaceutical market, taking into account this circumstance.
