Along with the problem of cardiovascular diseases, in recent years, there has been an increased interest in angiology, due to the prevalence among the population of diseases with impaired peripheral circulation. Patients are advised not to give up physical activity, walk regularly until pain appears, and then rest and resume exercise. This provides an increase in collateral blood circulation, an improvement in endothelial function due to capillary vasodilation, a decrease in blood viscosity, an improvement in the flexibility of erythrocyte membranes, a decrease in ischemic inflammation and an improvement in tissue oxygenation. Pharmacotherapy is relevant regardless of whether surgery is planned in the future or not. It is carried out in isolation at the I - II degree of chronic ischemia and in patients with a high risk of complications for whom surgery is contraindicated.
