This article provides a brief historical information about the representations of the species composition of amphibians and reptiles in the Volgograd region, depending on the degree of knowledge of the region, as well as modern and original data, given zoogeographical, ecological characteristics and shown patterns of spatial differentiation of Amphibia fauna and reptiles fauna of the region.
