The phenomenon of identity in the context of Russian spiritual culture

The article considers identity as existence, which is revealed in the space of value and meaning reality of consciousness in the form of dialogue. The authors consider possible methodological approach to the phenomenon of Russian identity as value autonomy (sovereignty) of an individual, as opposed to the rational autonomy of a Western person. It is noted that the value autonomy of identity acts as person's ability of spiritual self-creation. It is revealed in the dialogue forms of classical Russian literature, reflecting Russians' greatheartedness, openness to the spiritual dimension.
