The concept of the historical memory and actualization of personal historical memory of the students

The paper demonstrates the essence of the phenomenon of historical memory in the socio-cultural context. There are several factors which distinguish history as a reconstruction of the past and memory that is not the event itself, but only its imprint in the mind, the image of the event. The relationship between common (total), group and personal (individual) historical memory is examined. Any technology of actualization of social memory, interpretation or forgetting the past, overcoming social trauma could be manifested in total memory only through the focus of individual memory. Personally oriented, aimed digging into the past works as a basis for the concept of a virtual museum «Soldiers of Victory» and as a specially organized memory space.
